Four Winds Bermagui - Music In Nature

Here is the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the moment we’ve been so excited to reach… We are pleased to announce our program for the 2021 Four Winds Festival.

For those who purchased tickets for our 2020 festival, and for our donor community, this is information you may already have. However, for everyone else who’s been patiently waiting for our 2021 program… here we are!

Lindy Hume, our Creative Director for the 2021 festival (and also the 2022 festival) says:

“Over the 2021 Easter weekend some of Australia’s finest musicians will be joined by their professional peers in contemporary dance (Sydney Dance Company) epic theatre (William Zappa’s Iliad (Out Loud), contemporary music (Lior and Nigel Westlake’s Compassion) and film-making.

Our rich and varied program explores themes of celebration, compassion, gratitude and invites audiences to leave 2020 far behind and to consider the idea that, as Candelo musician Heath Cullen suggests, despite our human follies the have gotten the world into this mess, it’s possible that Things Are Looking Up.

In 2021 we invite audiences to experience the Sound Shell in several modes – some familiar, some new adventures and hopefully some surprises.”

What you will find when you explore the web program, is a collection of moments for us to share together over three days, in our natural outdoor amphitheatre at Barragga Bay.

Singer Lior will perform Compassion with Nigel Westlake and Orchestra as part of our spectacular 2021 program.

You will be able to explore many images and in-depth show information, Lindy’s welcome message, plenty of artist and ensemble information, plus links to the overall program and our ticketing site. There is of course updated event, site and Covid-19 information. Take your time and explore our festival web pages.

From English Baroque to Candelo folk, from Middle Eastern song to contemporary dance, from ancient Yuin culture to ancient Greek tales, and from romantic poetry to Ravel piano trios, the Four Winds Festival is a cornucopia of culture.

Reconnect and celebrate with us, safely and joyously, on the Easter weekend, April 2 – 4.

Peruse and choose, and book your tickets and accommodation as soon as you’re able.

We look forward to seeing you,

The Four Winds Team
