Four Winds Bermagui - Music In Nature

Residency Program

Four Winds values deeply the relationships we have formed – and that we are always building – with artists, audiences and our many communities, especially our own local community

One of our central ambitions is to identify and nurture young, aspiring and practicing artists and arts leaders who will grow to call Four Winds home.

Four Winds has been fortunate to partner with outstanding organisations such as the Australian National Academy of Music, as well as many talented performers and music creators, to host some extremely valuable residency programs at our Barragga Bay site as well as around our region.

Residencies are generally by invitation, but if you have a proposal for a residency you think may be of interest to Four Winds please email and put ‘Residency’ in the subject line.

It’s an opportunity for musicians to explore, learn and grow, in a supportive environment that makes them feel valued. Giving them the opportunity to work intensively, but without pressure. For both emerging artists and internationally renowned ensembles, residencies can be a liberating and transformative artistic experience. Our stunning creative home at Barragga Bay, set in 25 acres of tranquil coastal bushland, is a powerful draw for artists. A magical place, where creative talent is set up to thrive. A place where artists can develop their craft and their professional identities far from the demands of daily life. Where they have the time and space to practise, to compose, to rehearse, to explore repertoire, to network, to collaborate and to record.
