Celebrating our Supporters

The whole Four Winds team is taking this opportunity to celebrate, thank and send a virtual round of applause to all those who have donated funds to Four Winds.

Our thanks go to our regular donors as well as to all those who converted their 2020 Easter Festival tickets to donations.

There is no doubt that these are challenging times, so such acts of generosity are even more significant and appreciated by all those who benefit from Four Winds work. Thank you.

2021 is going to be a very special year, it is the Easter Festival’s 21st Birthday.

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Easter Festival next year, particularly all those who chose to carry-forward their 2020 Festival tickets to 2021, as well as all our wonderful volunteers who make our events so special.

Supporting Artists

We are also grateful to all our funders for supporting Four Winds through this time and are proud that we have been able to continue to engage artists through the creation of new digital Video Casts, as well as through our Musicians-in-Schools program which is just about to begin again in five local schools.

Four Winds was honored to be selected by an anonymous philanthropic foundation to be a conduit for grants to artists with the aim of providing financial support at a time when many artists have had engagements cancelled.

We are distributing grants to 14 artists who have links to Four Winds, a number of whom are based in our region.

One of the recipients, local percussionist and music leader David Hewitt (pictured below) said, ‘This grant came at exactly the right time. Many artists know that this is the perfect opportunity to develop new work, but even in ordinary times it’s a challenge to financially support creative space, let alone when other sources of income are reduced’.

It is true to say that the donation which enabled us to increase our support for musicians at this time was exceptional.

However, we welcome all donations, regardless of how modest, because the collective value of many modest donations soon adds up to us being able to commission a composer, support an artist, or place a musician in a local school.

If you have not donated to Four Winds in this financial year and would like to make a donation at this time, please click on the button below.

We are delighted that your donation will be matched ‘$-for-$’ by the Creative Partnerships Australia Plus 1 program – so any donation you make (which is tax deductible) is worth double the value at the present time.

On behalf of the whole Four Winds team, thank you again to all our funders and supporters and we look forward to welcoming you to Four Winds once restrictions are lifted.

In the meantime, please keep safe and well.
