Having just returned from a successful European tour, the band will be in fine form for their Australian tour and will be joined by the amazing Jess Green on guitar.

Critics have hailed their music as “phenomenal” (Downbeat), “a masterpiece” (The Australian), “seductive” (Jazzwise), and “a relaxed sound journey” (Jazzthetik, DE).

The Vampires’ music is a visceral experience, deeply rooted in the expansive landscapes of Australia. Their sound is a blend of influences, shaped by their admiration for The Necks and enriched by collaborations with artists including Chris Abrahams, Lionel Loueke, Shannon Barnett and Dave Rodriguez (Godtet). This deep connection to their musical roots is evident in every note, showcasing their ability to merge composed and improvised parts seamlessly, creating a hypnotic flow that captivates listeners.

Jess Green

Jess Green (AKA Pheno) is an Australian guitarist, and vocalist. In her twenty-year career she has established herself as a genre-defying performer and composer. She has performed with jazz & blues luminaries including The catholics, Jim Conway and Renee Geyer, contemporary artists Laura Jean, Katie Noonan and Georgia Mooney and supported international artists including Joan as Policewoman (US) and The New Pornographers (CAN). Jess collaborates as an improviser across jazz, new music and contemporary classical, and has been commissioned as a composer for Canberra International Jazz Festival, The Australian Art Orchestra and Patricia Piccinini.

Four Winds is an extraordinary music destination located just 9mins from Bermagui, at the stunning Barragga Bay on the Sapphire Coast of NSW. Four Winds specialises in exceptional music experiences surrounded by nature, often blending classical form with First Nations voices, young emerging musicians and powerful multi-disciplinary storytelling. The purpose-built site is home to the 160 seat ‘Windsong Pavilion’, an acoustically pristine building custom designed for the finest listening experience.
