Australian Singer/Songwriter Rune Alith offers up bittersweet heart opening songs. A cross pollination of Contemporary-Melancholy-Folk-Pop. Understated piano arrangements accompany her honest, expressive voice.
Rune’s performances of the past 5 years have gained a reputation for their transformative approaches to unique and unexpected settings. Having made a point of intimate shows being film, recording and photo free, she offers one time experiences to those who come along making these shows small time capsules offered only to those present.
This years appearance at Four Winds will mark her re-appearance in the performing space after taking a year off to write, collaborate, record and release a film clip.
Four Winds Windsong Pavilion is a state of the art facility designed by architect Clinton Murray and is an acoustically pristine performance space.
Over the previous five years Rune has collaborated and performed alongside Max Garner Tucker (Trombone) Elizabeth Andalis (Violin), Chris Costello (Keys), Cale Phelps (Guitar), Anatoli Torjinski (Cello), Steve Hope (Piano) and Robbie Hart (Crystal Sound Bowls – Celestial Orchestra). She has supported Kasey Chambers and Wendy Matthews and her band. This year she will be accompanied by secret special guests.
The fruit of Rune’s musical labour reflect her varied life circumstances and perspectives of being human, the brutal heart felt truth. Enriched by her visceral and poignant storytelling approach. Rune hopes the tapestry of her songwriting can speak to the listeners own life experiences.
