Welcome to Four Winds’25!
I am pleased to introduce the Four Winds Program for 2025. It’s an extensive and varied series of events which will inspire and delight many of you. Those who regularly visit our beautiful site will know how much has been done to enhance the experience there. A lot of work has been done on new lighting, new pathways, and the less visible but important fire protection and drainage. An afternoon concert at the Windsong when the weather is kind, food and wine on offer, seeing people you know and soaking up the beauty of the setting and then enjoying exceptional music – these are some of the really good things in life. The 2025 Program has many opportunities for these sorts of experiences offering both familiar and unexpected delights. I look forward to seeing you there.
The Four Winds team invite you to join us for a full year of music in nature. Four Winds 2025 Program is designed to give everyone a reason to visit often: from Windsong Pavilion Sunday concerts featuring popular returns from Lior, Affinity Quartet, Luminescence Chamber Singers, guitarist Karin Schaupp and pianist Simon Tedeschi accompanied by violinist George Washingmachine, to first-time presentations from nationally acclaimed artists Stiff Gins and Van Diemen’s Fiddles. Renowned music trailblazers The Necks will be joining us in early Feb for an exploration of sound. Four Winds First Nation’s Creative Director, Cheryl Davison’s installation from Bundanon will be exhibited alongside storytelling as part of Sculpture Bermagui. Four Winds is thrilled to premiere Djinama Yilaga’s new compositions as part of Barragga Yangga, performing with Butchulla songman Fred Leone and Affinity Quartet. Four Winds popular Easter Concerts return featuring pianist Andrea Lam & Friends from Friday night to Sunday afternoon; and the year ends with the ever-expanding Youth Music Festival featuring the Four Winds 60 piece Community Orchestra. Throughout the year, Four Winds is commissioning and hosting artists in residency who will hold open work in development showings. The gate is open! Come!
