Formed in 2010, Acacia Quartet is one of Australia’s most respected string ensembles, known for its versatility and innovative programming.
With thirteen albums to their name, they prominently feature Australia’s leading composers. Acacia has been nominated for prestigious awards, including the APRA-AMCOS Art Music Award for Excellence (2013) and the ARIA Music Award for Best Classical Album (2013, 2020).
Acacia’s extensive touring has earned them a reputation locally by performing at iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall Sydney, Melbourne Recital Hall and all-over regional NSW and Victoria. Internationally, they debuted in Vancouver, Canada, in 2016 and have since performed across Europe.
Acacia were special guest artists at the ‘24 Four Winds Spring Youth Music Festival. Acacia is looking forward to enjoying a residency at Four Winds, which they’ll use to work on new works by composers Lyle Chan and Kevin March, written for the quartet and will also focus on creating new video content.
