“… just enjoying the pleasures of their voices – solo and in combination – in songs that feel like friends almost immediately.”
Recently nominated for 4 Golden Guitar awards, this trio of local songstresses has captured the hearts of audiences across our great land. The New Graces songs describe their Australia: desert country steeped in history, wild bush dances, snowy mountains and remote swimming holes, generations of life on the land, waking up in a sunny Sydney bedroom, returning to a favourite old pub to play music with friends.
The music of The New Graces combines guitar, mandolin, banjo, mandola, fiddle and double bass with vocals, story-telling and poetry. They paint life’s joys and struggles, and while there is no sugar-coating, they have an authentic whack of compassion, hope and sweet, sweet harmony.
The three women share centre-stage with each other’s songs and stories. In their morning show for the Four Winds Festival, the New Graces will welcome special guests – each an inspiring female artist or musician – with warm Candelo hospitality, conversation and song sharing. You can expect stories, hope, laughter, tears and sweet music as The New Graces open Saturday’s proceedings with their music and friends.
