Despite its bright metallic sound, the tar has a singular ability to soothe one into a state of quiet rapture, so you emerge from its spell feeling that perhaps you can survive another day, after all.

Indulge yourself in an uninterrupted hour of simply listening, reflecting, breathing and enjoy a moment in nature, immersed in a musical interaction between East and West.
In the Baroque tradition, the music tells stories, imitates the voice, and here Hamed Sadeghi will respond to the Muffat’s playing with improvisatory moments on his Persian Oud and Tar.
Poems of love and nature will be portrayed musically – among them works by Francois Couperin (1724), and an Italian folk song by Bagio Marini – and this glittering display of call and response between two worlds will transport you to a world where “Zephyrus, who invites, and the earth that marries the sky; may May come at its ray, come with a lap of beautiful blossoms, come on the wings of little Zephyrs”.
