Last year’s festival brought together the Djinama Yilaga Choir and a group of brilliant musicians (mudjingaals, or friends) from the nearby town of Candelo for Songs from Yuin Country, an unforgettable concert that was described by Limelight magazine as ‘electrifying.…a heart-warming expression of solidarity’.
In 2022 this bicultural, multi-instrumentalist, song-writing super group returns to open Four Winds with another joyous celebration of our Common Ground – the creative spirit, music, dance, Dhurga language, cultures and stories of our own Southeast.
Throughout the afternoon a Welcome to Country followed by the songs, dances, language and storytelling from Yuin Country will fill the Sound Shell. This is a free event for everyone and all ages, so bring your friends and family, relax on the grass, and enjoy the authentic sounds of our region.
