VENUE CHANGES FOR FESTIVAL 2022
FOUR WINDS EVENTS MOVE TO COBARGO
Heavy rain over the last two months has left the Four Winds Sound Shell at Barragga Bay waterlogged and unable to safely accommodate expected audiences at the Festival over Easter Weekend. As a result, the Four Winds team has decided to move some events into venues in Cobargo.

WORDS FROM THE FOUR WINDS CHAIR & FESTIVAL CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Four Winds Chair Michael Darling said:
“The Four Winds Board and team will do their utmost to ensure that our audiences will enjoy a rewarding festival experience in safety and comfort. We are also fully committed to providing the extraordinary Australian artists gathered for the Festival conditions that allow them to give their best possible performance.”
Festival Creative Director, Lindy Hume AM said:
“The wet weather has certainly thrown us another curveball. But so much work, skill and love has been poured into the development of this festival program – we’re determined that the show must go on! Our plan to move some of the Festival to Cobargo offers an authentic yet different Four Winds adventure for artists and audiences, locals and visitors to our region alike.”
This version of the Festival retains as much of the advertised program as possible – I want to thank every Four Winds artist for their flexibility and positive response to these changes. Audiences can be assured that we are working hard in the lead-up to make sure Four Winds 2022 will be a complete Festival experience for all.
We are also tremendously grateful to the community of Cobargo for welcoming us to their town for our Festival.
COVID, TICKETING AND TRANSPORT CHANGES
These venue changes necessitate some important changes to covid protocols, ticketing catering and bus transport.
Full details of the new arrangements will be available on our website from Monday 11th April.
In summary:
RELOCATION AND COVID
Moving the Festival to indoor spaces compels Four Winds to ensure our Covid protocols appropriately respond to the changing circumstances. Doors and windows may need to be closed due to rain, reducing ventilation.
Therefore:
- Patrons attending will be required to show proof of vaccination or medical exemption.
- Patrons will be required to wear masks while indoors.
- Sanitation stations are provided at all Four Winds Venues
- Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
All Four Winds artists, volunteers, staff and crew will be vaccinated, be required to take Rapid Antigen Tests daily and wear masks where practical.
We are constantly monitoring the changing COVID situation in NSW.
TICKETS AND BOOKINGS
Existing ticket holders:
- For all events that remain at their scheduled time, Four Winds will automatically transfer existing bookings to the new venues.
- Re-Registration for Friday events is now necessary
Previously booked tickets for free events on Friday (SONGS FROM YUIN COUNTRY and LEONARD’S BEAUTIFUL PICTURES) will need rebooking in accordance with new performance times. Ticket holders will receive an email on Monday with a booking link to ensure they maintain their booking. The link will timeout after 48 hours – bookings are extremely tight and any unallocated tickets outside this rebooking window will be automatically released.
Capacity limits at indoor venues may restrict new ticket sales. Some events are already close to capacity and sales will be closed off soon. A wait-list will be established for any sold-out performances.
REFUNDS
If you have purchased a ticket on the basis that you are unvaccinated and are now ineligible to attend, please contact Four Winds after the Festival to discuss refund options.
Should you be unable to attend any event for any other reason, you will be eligible to receive a refund (post-festival) if your ticket is successfully on-sold to another festival goer. If your ticket is not successfully on-sold we will not be able to provide a refund. Please see the the COVID section above should that be relevant to your attendance concerns.
For all ticketing, booking and refund enquiries please email: com@fourwinds.com.au
TRANSPORT AND FOOD
Cobargo is approximately 20kms from Bermagui. Buses to the Cobargo festival site will be provided, leaving from the Bermagui Country Club. New times will be available on the website shortly.
Four Winds food stalls and hampers, and both outdoor and under-cover picnic options will remain available on site at the Cobargo Showgrounds.
For all transport and food enquiries please email: contact@fourwinds.com.au
