Tathra Fire Appeal

By May 15, 2018News
In response to the Tathra Bush Fires, the Four Winds Foundation agreed to match fund any donation made at the 2018 Easter Festival to the Tathra Fire Appeal. The Four Winds Foundation is an independent charity set up by Four Winds Festival Founder, Neilma Gantner, and her son Carrillo in 2002.

The Foundation knows that to support the community at a challenging time was very much in Neilma’s spirit and we were privileged to facilitate this generous offer. Although the final sum donated hasn’t been confirmed by Bega Valley Shire Council, we believe the Festival community, with the Foundation’s match-funding has contributed approximately $75,000 to the Mayoral Tathra Fire appeal which is fantastic.

On behalf of the community on the South Coast, thank you if you were one of the many donors who contributed to support those affected by the Tathra Bush Fire. Your generosity was recently recognised in the local Triangle which thanked all the Four Winds visitors with ‘very deep pockets from Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and further afield who were eager to contribute to the appeal.’
