State of the Arts Thursday 6 July 2017 | Windsong Pavilion, Four Winds Rd, Bermagui

This Thursday afternoon at 5.30pm in the Windsong Pavilion Dr Justin Macdonnell will take to the stage for the Radical Voice Talk Series #4. Justin is a leading arts historian and producer of Australian artists around the world. He will be talking about Chaos Theory and The Arts. Why are we always trying to force the arts and artists into boxes? Are we eroding wild and whimsical unpredictability… and are we getting duller in the process? Justin Macdonnell explores these questions and asks if it might be time to apply a little chaos theory to the arts scene.

Prior to this, from 2pm this Thursday, Regional Arts leaders are gathering at Four Winds Windsong Pavilion for an afternoon of discussion and collaboration stimulated by Lindy Hume’s Currency House Platform Paper ‘Restless Giant’. Lindy, who has strong links to the South Coast is leading a debate on regional Australia’s role in creating and presenting work and will be joining us via live video link from Brisbane. She will be talking with the CEO of the newly formed Create NSW, Michael Brealey, who will be at the Windsong Pavilion in person, prior to a panel discussion with local arts leaders
