A weekend exploring early and contemporary songs is coming to Four Winds.
Beautifully Mad is performing on Friday 17 November, 7.30pm in the Windsong Pavilion. Tony King and Nina Vox, two of Australia’s finest singer/songwriters, will be joined for the first time in Bermagui by their incredible Sydney band including; Bill Risby, piano, Natalie Morrison, double bass, and Nick Lister, drums, for an evening of songs from their new album ‘Silhouette’.
The following morning, on Saturday 18 November, 10.30am – 12noon, Tony King, of Beautifully Mad, will run a Masterclass on – The Craft of Song Writing. A must for anyone interested in or already writing their own songs. Tony will talk about how Beautifully Mad go about writing their material, the craft and inspirations involved.
Dame Emma Kirkby (British Soprano) and Jakob Lindberg (Lutenist) will then present a Masterclass on – The Art of Performing and Understanding Early Songs – on Saturday 18 November 1.00pm – 3.00pm.
On Sunday 19 November 2017, 1.00pm – 3.00pm, Dame Emma Kirkby and Jakob Lindberg will then perform as part of the Four Winds Windsong Series. This is a not to missed recital by one of the world’s leading performers of early song. British Soprano Dame Emma Kirkby and Jakob Lindberg will perform solos written for Lute and songs from the Renaissance Period. Emma and Jakob are visiting from Europe and will be giving only three performances in Australia. Expect an afternoon of quiet, peaceful, beautiful story telling through song.
