Tanja School students joined students at Tathra Public School to hear the Four Winds Aboriginal Creative Producer, Cheryl Davison share ancient stories and traditional knowledge with the children. Cheryl spoke about Gulaga mountain, its significance to the Djiringangj and Yuin people and encouraged all young people to respect and care for her. The children were fascinated and had lots of questions and stories of their own.

Children in K-2 were then led by Sam Thomas, a visiting Four Winds artist to respond creatively through dance and movement to the stories they heard. Sam Thomas, a Four Winds visiting artist specializing in circus, percussion and creative production invited children and families to attend the Free 2020 Easter Festival Four Winds Community Concert.

Sam is produced a spectacular Good Friday show with light, soundscapes and music, featuring community and festival artists. Years 3-6, were guided in the making of star lanterns that will be carried in the concerts final procession.

Four Winds would like to thank the students and staff of Tanja and Tathra schools for sharing their creativity, laughter and fun with us!
